JOB DESCRIPTION
Having a strong and consistent presence on social media is essential to the success and awareness of UCDA. The Social Media Coordinator will be tasked with the implementation of UCDA’s Social Media Strategy with oversight from the UCDA Home Office and the social media committee. The UCDA Social Media Coordinator will review UCDA’s Digital Content Strategy and provide recommendations/comments. This position will be a one- year commitment and may be renewed with approval of the board.

QUALIFICATIONS
- Strong familiarity with the business applications of social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, etc.).
- Ability to create consistent, meaningful content tailored to each social media platform.
- Act quickly and gracefully to resolve any member complaints or criticisms posted on social media.
- Understanding of social media metrics; able to interpret the results and take action to increase effectiveness of social media campaigns.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills geared toward the social platforms.
- Digital design prowess with video experience preferred.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
The social media coordinator will have daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly responsibilities to keep current and potential members engaged, informed, and inspired as well as the development and awareness of the UCDA brand.

DAILY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Content Creation: Generate, edit, publish, and share content 3-4 times per week native to each platform utilizing the UCDA approved voice/style.
- Engagement: Build meaningful connections and encourage community members through dialog and messaging.
WEEKLY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Moderate, gather and post/re-purpose user-generated content and messages appropriately, based on UCDA policies
- Curate and schedule content using a scheduling platform taking into consideration best times to post based on our target demographic.
MONTHLY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Track and analyze analytics reports to gain insight on traffic, demographics, and effectiveness; utilize this information to positively affect future outcomes.
- Relay analytics reports to the social media committee chair for monthly board update.
- Monitor social media trends
- Identify and recommend advertising buys
YEARLY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Optional: Attend annual UCDA Design Conference
- Create and share current content at the event to encourage meaningful interaction outside of scheduled UCDA programming.
- Work closely with event photographer to curate appropriate media for posting.
