UCDA : connecting, inspiring, and supporting a creative community in education

UCDA Journal: Call for Submissions

UCDA JOURNAL

The UCDA Journal is a blog-style area on the UCDA website for member-provided posts, articles, interviews, etc. that will also be shared on UCDA’s social media channels. The posts need to serve the needs of the diverse audiences within UCDA:

  1. Designers and communication professionals in larger offices
  2. Solo designers in smaller offices
  3. Design educators

The journal is an opportunity for members to gain recognition as well as share content with each other.

TOPICS

You could pick a topic of your choice, which could include:

  1. Consider what problems our members are focused on solving.

  2. The story of a project that you were particularly proud of that you’d like to show off.
  3. Interviews about trends in the industry, specifically as it relates to education.
  4. Interviews between members.
  5. Posts about workflow and process; tips, tricks, and trends.
  6. Design education issues and topics.
  7. Avoid sales speak.
  8. Whatever else you think would be fun to write and useful to members/potential members.
  9. Be fact-driven and be visual.

Post lengths do not need to be long; no more than 1,500-2,000 words and can be shorter than that.
