In employment projections, professional assignments, and interest from interdisciplinary research teams we see a shift in the scale of design problems from discrete artifacts to systems, platforms, services, and communities. What trends are evidence of this change? How does change expand the responsibilities of practice? And what does this change mean for the education of designers?
