The Krider Prize for Creativity honors exceptional creativity wherever it may be found. It recognizes that designers draw their inspiration and influences from a broad range of fields and experiences. In the spirit of the Krider Prize, we cannot define creativity without circumscribing an unnecessarily narrow vision.

ELIGIBILLITY
Any individual or group is eligible to receive the Krider Prize. The only stipulation is that the recipient attend the annual UCDA Design Conference to receive the award. The requirements also stipulate that the recipient give UCDA a presentation, seminar, work of art or other object or performance appropriate to the awardees field of endeavor, at the annual UCDA Design Conference (subject to approval). While these arrangements do not have to be made—or even discussed—prior to nominating, those nominating should consider these aspects of the Krider Prize, and if the nominee reaches the final stages of review, these criteria will have to be met.
