HANDS-ON GLASS BLOWING EXPERIENCE AND JEREMY SLAGLE OF SLAGLE DESIGN
Enjoy a day of fun, creativity and learning at Glass Axis in the historic East Franklinton area of Columbus, Ohio!
The Workshop will include:
- A tour of the 12,700 square foot Glass Axis facility
- A first experience glass blowing class under the guidance of a professional artist
- A presentation on creativity and design process from Jeremy Slagle of Slagle Design
LOCATION
Glass Axis is a non-profit, public access glass art facility and gallery with well-equipped studios for all forms of glass art including stained and fused glass, torch and hot glass blowing and sculpting, and neon art. The studio is located in the historic section of Franklinton in Columbus and is home to the Kennedy Galleries and gift shop showcasing gorgeous glass art, hand crafted by member artists. glassaxis.org
FIRST EXPERIENCE GLASS BLOWING ORNAMENT CLASS
Introduce yourself to glass design and lingo in a Glass Axis first experience workshop. Learn to speak the language of glass through a hands-on project with the guidance of a professional artist. Participants will receive individual attention. Participants should wear closed-toe shoes and clothes made from natural fibers. Ornaments will be shipped to you after they cool.

WHAT TO WEAR
From the Glass Axis website: We always recommend layers. We recommend natural fibered clothing, such as cotton, and closed-toed shoes like gym shoes or hiking boots. We DO NOT recommend taking classes in sandals, ballet flats, or heels. Do not wear clothes that have long dangling pieces or fringe. You may wear short sleeves. We DO NOT recommend shorts that are shorter than knee length.

DIRECTIONS AND PARKING INFORMATION
Glass Axis is located in historic East Franklinton area of Columbus, Ohio on the corner of Town Street and Grubb Street and just east of 315.
Parking is west of the building off Grubb Street near the main entrance. The street and mailing address is 610 W. Town Street, Columbus, OH 43215. For GPS directions, use the address 156 S. Grubb Street, Columbus, OH 43215. It will navigate you around the one way streets to the parking lot entrance.
