UCDA Student Poster Initiative
CALL FOR ENTRIES
The UCDA 2025 Student Poster Design Initiative Call for Entries is Open.
This year, the theme is Mindful Design. Students are invited to explore the trending topic of mindful design through visual communication of poster design. This student poster design contest provides an outlet for students to design and submit an original poster for print or online use. We welcome entries as part of a class assignment or done independently by students outside of class.
Mindful: 2025 Design Education Summit Event

Fall/Winter 2024
Instructors may add this as a class project for Spring 2025 or use it as a side project for student design clubs. Students are encouraged to submit self-generated independent work as well.

JUDGING:
Our Student Poster Chairperson will review entries, with additional judges if required.
ENTRY ELIGIBILITY:
Entries must have been created between May 22, 2024 and April 30, 2025.

WINNING ENTRIES:
First Place, Second Place, Third Place, and Honorable Mention as chosen by judge(s).
RECOGNITION:
- FREE Registration to the Design Education Summit
The top three winning entries will receive free registration to the UCDA Design Education Summit (May 2025). Travel and accommodations are not included. - UCDA Journal Blog Recognition
Students' work may be featured and promoted in the UCDA Journal. - UCDA Social Media
Student work will be featured on UCDA social media channels. - Certificate
- Honorable Mention
Up to 12 honorable mentions may be awarded and displayed during the UCDA Design Education Summit. - Note: UCDA will print and display all print-based winning and honorable mention entries on heavy white 12" x 18" paper. If entries use special paper or tactile techniques, the student winner may mail their submission(s) to UCDA, with entries arriving no later than 10 days before the Summit. Digital submissions awarded an honorable mention will be displayed on a digital display.
