UCDA and the UCDA Foundation offer several professional development opportunities for members to attend its programming, including the UCDA Design Education Summit and the UCDA Design Conference.
- UCDA Design Conference
Professional Development Scholarships
Purpose
Professional development scholarships are designated for new
members who have never attended UCDA's design conference and
long-term members who also would benefit from the professional
development opportunity. This will foster opportunities for new-
and long-term members to come together and network at the design conference.

- These scholarships are offered to help offset the expense
of attending the annual UCDA Design Conference. Annually, the board will
determine the amount [not to exceed the cost of full-conference
registration] and number of scholarships to be awarded. At least
50 percent of the scholarships will be available for new members.
Scholarships will be awarded based on the recipient(s) professional
development benefit potential. This is not a cash scholarship,
but will go towards the recipient's conference registration fee.
The UCDA Foundation will award up to four scholarships in 2011—two for new members and two for long-term members. Each scholarship will be in the amount of $650 which covers the registration costs for the UCDA Design Conference, scheduled for October 15-18, 2011 in Phoenix, Arizona.

Professional Development Scholarships
Purpose
Professional development scholarships are designated for any UCDA member who would benefit from the professional development opportunity of attending the UCDA Design Education Summit. This will foster opportunities for educators to come together and network at the summit.

- These scholarships are offered to help offset the expense of attending the UCDA Design Education Summit. Annually, the board will determine the amount [not to exceed the cost of full registration] and number of scholarships to be awarded. Scholarships will be awarded based on the recipient(s) professional development benefit potential. This is not a cash scholarship, but will go towards the recipient's registration fee.
The UCDA Foundation, with support from the j.Charles Walker & John Brett Buchanan Foundation, will award up to two scholarships in 2011. Each scholarship will be in the amount of $245 which covers the registration costs for the UCDA Design Education Summit, scheduled for May 26-27, 2011 hosted by New Jersey City Univerity.
Submission deadline: April 1, 2011.
