UCDA is an individual-based membership association. Current membership categories, including the annual membership fee.

Professional ($195)*
For those actively involved in the design of communications for educational institutions (designers, photographers, editors, etc.) or design administrators who work at an educational institution.

Educator ($150)
Design faculty play a critical role in educating and inspiring new designers. In appreciation of the work you do, UCDA offers a discounted membership category for full-time faculty.

Associate ($195)*
For those actively involved in the design of communications for educational institutions (designers, photographers, editors, etc.), design education (part-time faculty, adjunct, deans or chairs), or design firms but do not work at an education institution; and for interested advancement professionals in a related field who are not actively involved in design.

Corporate ($250)
For individuals who work at commercial firms that serve or support design, education, or a related field.

Student ($50)
Full-time undergraduate or graduate students of design or a related discipline.

Retired ($50)
Individuals who have retired and are no longer employed full time as a designer for institutions of higher education, as a design administrator, or design educator.

Subscriber ($50)
A basic subscription for Designer magazine only. This category does not include discounted fees for competition entry or conference attendance.

*Institutional Discount
When registering three or more Professional and/or Associate members, pay only $175 each. Please send in all forms together with one payment.
