40 Designers Project
To honor our 40 years, we turned to our members and asked them to answer one of two questions: what inspires you or why design for education.

UCDA Design Conference *

UCDA Design Competition *
Convert your portfolio pieces into award winners by entering the annual UCDA Design Competition. Expert jurors honor the best work in educational design--in print, electronic media, illustration, photography, student, and green categories. Entry deadline early July.

UCDA Design Summit *
UCDA Design Summit offers hot-topic programming for designers and non-designers alike. Sharpen your competence with workshops on topics from admissions photography or web design to branding.

UCDA Design Education Summit *
UCDA is dedicated to helping the design education community to work together in advancing the quality and scope of design education. A great professional development opportunity for anyone involved in the teaching of design.

Insight Workshop
Recondition your way of seeing at Insight, an innovative visual workshop. Discover how to choose or create the essential photo for your work in exciting locations across North America.

Printmaking Workshop *
Turn your computers off for a day and get (re)acquainted with the smell and feel of ink and printing presses. This workshop will explore the subtleties of the photocopier transfer process and the monotype process using an etching press and a barren or non-press printing technique. Hosted by Anchor Graphics at Columbia College in Chicago.

UCDA Workshops *
Trade a work day for a 'self-improvement' day. gather with your colleagues to hear a speaker, create a hands-on project, or commiserate about everyday challenges. Suggest ideas for a regional, or we'll even help you host one yourself with UCDA assistance.

Job Posting Service *
Reach the right people! Target the market you need to reach for position openings at your institution or company with our job posting service through UCDA's website.

UCDA Insider
A monthly newsletter and job posting. Restyle your career by finding new opportunities or new staff through the UCDA Insider, UCDA's job posting service and announcement letter.

Online Membership Directory
Expand and modify your professional network with the UCDA Membership Directory. There's a colleague to call when you confront pressing issues and seek solutions. Find advice, experience, a mentor, a friend. Available online upon login to the UCDA website. Available to UCDA members only.

UCDA Listserves
UCDA is pleased to offer two email message list services to interested persons. Communicate easily with others who understand your circumstances and challenges. UCDA List is a electronic mailing/messaging for graphic designers or others interested in visual communications for institutions of higher education. UCDA Educators List is a electronic mailing/messaging for those involved in teaching visual communications at the college or university level.

Designer Magazine
Four times a year, stretch your imagination and expand your understanding of the design industry and higher education with Designer maagazine.This lively, award-winning publication is packed with information on the issues that designers and design educators face, and includes the annual UCDA Salary Survey.
